Usher and Keke Palmer are something else! The R&B icon recently dropped a snippet of his new music and song titled “Boyfriend.” Hilariously and strategically enough it stars the talented Keke Palmer.

Sharing the promo video to his official Instagram account this Tuesday morning, Usher captioned his post, “When fantasies become reality. Boyfriend’ Out Tomorrow, 8/16 | Hit the link in my bio to set a reminder for the Official Music Video Premiere.”

Now, as many know, the two made tons of headlines last month after a video surfaced online showing Usher serenading Keke Palmer at his Las Vegas show on July 5. As we previously reported, her boyfriend, Darius Jackson, who shares a child with Palmer, wasn’t here for the video at all… Knowing all that went down after that viral moment, social media users are cutting up in Usher’s comment section as they wait for the video to drop. One IG user said, “The way I just kee-keed 😂😂😂😂” Another added, “Can you say petty af! I’m here for it!” A third added, “KeKe definitely knows how to make a moment into a bag. Get it, girl!”

When the video of Usher, 44, and Palmer, 29, lit up social media as the clip showed them slow-dancing to his hit 2010 track “There Goes My Baby,” Jackson shared a tweet criticizing her outfit. He tweeted, “It’s the outfit tho…you a mom. Jackson instantly faced backlash as many people came to her defense.

While Palmer hasn’t addressed the situation directly yet, she has continued to post her hot body all over social media.

Meanwhile, Mr. “Don’t Bring Ya Girl Around Me,” has since spoken out on all the controversy surrounding the moment with Keke. In a recent interview with PEOPLE, the “Caught Up” singer said he and the Nope actress were simply “having fun” and called it “a pop moment.”

“I think everybody’s vision or a version of what they felt happened there just leads you back to just really having a good time in Las Vegas,” Usher said. “And that’s what I hope came out of it. Rather, it was a conversation of what was going on with us having fun in front of the audience or conversation about that song.”
