Ninth Person Dies From Injuries Sustained During Astroworld Concert
A ninth person has tragically passed away following injuries she sustained at Travis Scott’s Astroworld concert last weekend.
Bharti Shahani, the 22-year-old Texas A&M University senior has sadly succumbed to her injuries, per her family’s lawyer. Shahani was declared brain dead and was put on a ventilator after she reportedly suffered multiple heart attacks at the event.
Per ABC13, Shahani got separated as the crowd began to surge said her cousin Mohit Bellani, who accompanied Shahani and her sister.
“Once one person fell, people started toppling like dominos. It was like a sinkhole. People were falling on top of each other,” Bellani said. “There were like layers of bodies on the ground, like two people thick. We were fighting to come up to the top and breathe to stay alive.”
