Florida woman was attacked in a parking lot after a couple took issue with how she disciplined her 4-year-old son. The situation escalated fast — and now two people are facing serious charges in Broward County.
The woman told authorities she slapped her son once on the mouth and once on his torso after he spit in her face while she was scolding him. That’s when Terry Williams, 66, stepped in. He reportedly claimed to work for the Florida Department of Children and Families and told her she couldn’t yell at or hit her son. She told him to leave her alone — and he did, according to PEOPLE.
But then his wife, Mary Williams, 63, approached and tried to continue the conversation. The woman told Mary to leave as well. Instead, Mary stood between the woman and her son, blocking them from leaving. When the woman tried to move her out of the way, Mary allegedly scratched and choked her. Terry then rejoined the altercation. Together, the couple allegedly ripped the woman’s shirt completely off, leaving her in just her bra. Mary also reached in and turned the car off. A witness confirmed that the victim did not fight back at any point.

Mary is hitting her with more than one charge — she’s facing both simple battery and burglary. Terry caught a battery charge as well. While Terry managed to walk free after posting his bond, Mary isn’t so lucky. She’s still sitting in Broward County Jail with a $5,000 bond.
