A male news reporter was robbed at gunpoint during a live broadcast near a soccer stadium in Ecuador.

Last week, DirecTV Sports reporter Diego Ordinola was working near the Isidro Romero Carbo Monumental Stadium in Guayaquil when the armed suspect approached him during the broadcast. He asked Ordinola to hand over his phone and wallet while pointing the gun towards him then turned the weapon towards the station’s camera crew. Minutes after the shocking moment, Ordinola uploaded the video on Twitter to show his followers.
Ordinola said the robbery occurred around 1 pm and thanked his supporters for their well wishes after the video went viral on the social media platform. “Thank you all for your messages of solidarity, I appreciate it very much, Let’s unite to eradicate crime in Ecuador,” he said.
