Missing Farmer Could Have Been Eaten By His Own Pigs

A Polish farmer who was reported missing since December 31 may have been eaten by his own pigs after a neighbor spotted human remains nearby.

According to the New York Post, Lubin District Prosecutor Magdalena Serafin said human bones were found eight days after the farmer was reported missing. He was last seen on the small farm and believed to be 70-years-old.

“We do not know the exact date, but in the period between December 31 and January 8 the victim was eaten by pigs,”

Authorities arrived at the scene after his neighbor spotted the remains while getting some water from a nearby well. His cause of death is currently unknown but investigators believe he could have died from a heart attack or fell before being eaten by the pigs.

Local media reported that the entire body was eaten by the animals with only a few skull fragments and bones being left over.
