A North Korean man who decided to smuggle ‘Squid Games’ into the country will be executed by firing squad.

The man reportedly smuggled and sold the popular Netflix series before he was caught by officials and will be executed via firing squad. Additionally, a high school student who brought in a USB drive containing the series was sentenced to life in prison for the crime. According to Yahoo! News, six other high school students will be sentenced to five years of hard labor for watching the series. Teachers and administrators who supported their antics will be fired and transferred to work in labor mines.

 “This all started last week when a high-school student secretly bought a USB flash drive containing the South Korean drama ‘Squid Game’ and watched it with one of his best friends in class. The friend told several other students, who became interested, and they shared the flash drive with them.” a source told the free non-profit media company Radio Free Asia.

Despite the government’s actions to prevent the show from being smuggled into the country, thousands of copies have been distributed illegally.
