Jerry McDonald’s wife of two years said she discovered the messages after her husband was passed out after a long night of drinking. She planned to use his cell phone to contact his job and report that he wouldn’t be able to make it for his afternoon shift but noticed the messages shortly after. McDonald asked the woman, Vanessa Nelson,39, “Do I need to kill her?” to which Nelson allegedly responded, “Please kill her babe, please. I am begging you. I need you. I need you more.” McDonald later told Nelson that his wife was worth “a million” and added, “I’m saying we kill her and I collect a million and we live like the kings and queens we are.” Nelson replies, “So she has a million in life insurance. Then let’s kill her,”

His wife said she feared for her life and contacted police after McDonald also revealed that her father kept $1 million in his safe and plotted to steal from him as well.
