Lizzo has opened up about her dream collaboration if she had to team up with a string of other artists. The “About That Time” hitmaker, whose latest album “Special” was released last week, sat down for a chat with ELLE UK, where she was asked which singers she would enlist for the ultimate supergroup, to which she mentioned SZA, Doja Cat, and Ariana Grande.
“If I were to recreate ‘Marmalade’ with the girls that are out now, I would say me as Missy, SZA as Mya, Doja Cat as Lil Kim, and Ariana Grande as Christina Aguilera’s part,” she shared. “We would be fierce.”

When “Lady Marmalade” was covered by the aforementioned stars of the ’90s and early ’00s in 2001 for the “Moulin Rouge!” soundtrack, it went on to spend five weeks at No.1 and became one of the best-selling songs by the year’s end. Socialites, would this line-up perform just as well on the charts if they were to recreate the track?
Elsewhere, in June, Lizzo announced she would be pledging $500k from her upcoming Special Tour to Planned Parenthood after the US Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v Wade. Taking to social media to share the generous deed with her fans, the “Good As Hell” pop star added that Live Nation would be matching her donation with another $500k.
“I’m pledging $500k from my upcoming tour to Planned Parenthood. Live Nation agreed to match— to make it 1 MILLION dollars. We are going to give proceeds to @AbortionFunds as well! Thank you!” she tweeted.

Since Roe V Wade was overturned, it has been up to individual states to decide whether they would relate abortions or not.
