More divorce drama between Kroy Biermann and Zolciak-Biermann.
In new court documents, the former athlete alleges that his ex Kim Zolciak-Biermann has “financially devastated” them by gambling, and he wants her to be evaluated… pronto.
PEOPLE obtained the latest court documents filed by the former NFL star, 37, who requested a Psychological Evaluation of the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum, 45. Kory alleges that “During the parties’ marriage, Respondent [Zolciak-Biermann] presented very troubling behavior which has accelerated in the months leading up to Petitioner’s filing for divorce.” This document also states that Kim “acknowledged spending substantial time and marital funds on gambling and other games of chance.”
The docs also claimed, “Respondent’s time is so consumed with online gambling that she is unable to properly care for the children. As such, Petitioner is concerned for the children’s safety and well-being.”
While it may seem like Kroy is just trying to take a jab at his estranged wife, his legal team notes that an evaluation is in the best interest of all parties in order “to ascertain any underlying mental issues such as depression, anxiety, narcissistic personality disorder, bipolar disorder, attention deficit hyperactivity disorder or others that are manifested through Respondent’s compulsive gambling and other behaviors indicative of additional addiction issues.m,” PEOPLE quotes.
Despite all of this, a close source addressed the gambling allegations saying, “She’s been gambling, that’s true, but she has been winning. He is just trying to make it look like she has been losing money.”
More On Kim and Kroy’s Breakup
Kim and Kroy tied the knot in 2011. The two — who tied the knot on Nov. 11, 2011, share four kids: Kroy Jagger, 11, Kash, 10, and 9-year-old twins Kane and Kaia. Zolciak is also mother to Brielle, 26, and Ariana Biermann, 21, who she had from a previous relationship. Kroy adopted Kim’s daughters when they were minors.
It was reported earlier this month that Kim went ahead and filed for divorce from her husband Kroy Biermann after 11 years of marriage. However, the New York Post made a follow-up article stating Kroy actually filed first on May 5 and the divorce records state that he “has separated from Respondent on the ground that the marriage is irretrievably broken and thereby entitling Petitioner to a divorce under Georgia law.” Zolciak was officially summonsed on Monday, May 8.
The news of their separation came just hours after it was reported that the two owe about $1,150,000 in federal taxes.
While they have not publicly spoken out yet on their breakup, in Kim’s latest filing she also hinted that her estranged husband has a drug problem and is going to the courthouse to have it sorted out.
