Kehlani stunned fans in a post-and-delete Instagram Story where she claimed she had been sexually assaulted after her final concert on the European leg of her Blue Water Road Trip Tour. The “Can I” singer performed her last show in Manchester, England at the O2 Victoria Warehouse Monday, but it was at an after-party following the gig when things turned left, as Kehlani asserted she had been groped by a supposed fan.
The show itself went ahead without a hitch, but in a lengthy Instagram Story, which she has since been deleted, the Oakland native explained how she was left feeling angry and triggered when a supposed fan put their hands up her skirt during an after-party event later that night. “i don’t care how sexual you deem my music, my performances, my fun with my friends dancing at clubs, or ME….” Kehlani wrote.

Wtf is wrong with people.. you should never sexually assault anyone … what makes things worst is that it’s an idol y’all look up to it’s starting to be unsafe for our fav artist My heart goes out to you @Kehlani @DavidAli and the camp send out my love … pic.twitter.com/W3ZdpGfSrX

“That does not give any of you the right to cross a boundary like sticking your hands up my skirt & pulling my underwear to TOUCH MY GENITALS as I am being escorted through a crowd after performing.” She continued, “This sh** made me sick to my stomach. as a victim of sexual assault, I am endlessly triggered and mindblown.”
Fans have since weighed in on Kehlani’s post, saying they were “disgusted” that a person who is supposed to be a fan of the 27-year-old would go as far as to even put his hands on her in an uncalled-for manner. Others reacted by saying the person in question should be identified and charged with sexual assault.
“No one should ever have their boundaries disrespected like this i’m truly disgusted for them. y’all are sick,” one person tweeted. “Sexual assault is so triggering & violating. I’m so sorry to Kehlani for what happened to her. No one deserves her. She should stop performing if she feels inclined to,” another continued.
What happened to Kehlani is the same reason why artists stop interacting with fans. Some are beyond disrespectful. That was straight up sexual assault.

Another Twitter user felt strongly about the topic of sexual assault and how the person who had violated Kehlani was ultimately a “piece of sh**” for what they are accused of doing to her. “It takes a special piece of shit to do something like this,” they wrote.
“Get a fucking grip with reality, she is a human being not your little sexual object that you feel entitled to. Sexual assault is not and will never be okay. My heart goes out to Kehlani smh.”
