Kalina Collier’s social media posts about her experience in Jamaica garnered major buzz after claiming she was being held against her will in the country. However, authorities say Collier started making the posts online after she was told to quarantine when she tested positive for the coronavirus.

According to the Jamaica Observer, authorities said “She remains in isolation and awaits medical clearance to be able to travel back home. She was visited by the local police on Saturday, February 13 and she is not, nor was she at any time, in any danger.” They are also urging the public not to share her social media posts.
