While chatting with the stars about the new film, some shared how great it was to work with a predominantly black cast and be a part of a project that showcases black love, which we rarely see on our screens. The cast also shared some of the things that were important to them like acknowledging the journalists and outlets who have always supported them from the beginning.

As some people may know, black outlets/ journalists usually get brushed off by talent while on the red carpet during some of these big events. But, Will Packer and Issa Rae let us know how important it is to them to ALWAYS stop and show love to us as well as the other outlets. Packer said,

“When I see my folks on the carpet, I’m stopping. PERIOD.” Our girl Issa Rae added, “These are the outlets that promoted me when I started, so I’m always going to show love and respect.” She went on to say: “I would be nowhere without black outlets and I’ll never forget that.”

That wasn’t all we got out of the star! Check out the full recap video below and let us know if you will be checking out the film which is out in theaters now!
