Husband Accused Of Killing Missing Wife Attempts Suicide

A husband who is accused of killing his wife attempted suicide in front of his Connecticut home early Tuesday afternoon.

According to the New York Post, Fotis Dulos was found dead in his garage and his attorney, Norm Pattis, said he tried to poison himself with carbon monoxide. Dulos was scheduled for a bail hearing at Stamford Supreme Court and awaited trial on murder and kidnapping charges in the missing case of his estranged wife, Jennifer Dulos.

Dulos was released from bail two days after her disappearance on May 24 and her body has not been found.

He is accused of murdering Jennifer in her home after she dropped off their children for a visit and the former couple was in preparation for a divorce. Authorities says Dulos stuffed the body in her Chevrolet Suburban and drove to New Canaan’s Waveny Park to drop off the vehicle.

His ex-girlfriend, Michelle Troconis, is accused of being involved in Jennifer’s murder along with Dulos’ friend, attorney Kent Mawhinney.
