HU Exclusive: Beyoncé’s Rep Denies $100M Disney Deal Despite Reports

Late Tuesday, The Sun UK reported that Beyoncé was in talks to sign a $100 million mega-deal with Disney for three major new projects.

The report stated that the singer was going to appear on the soundtrack for Marvel film Black Panther 2, which is due for release next year, plus two other blockbusters. An insider also told the news outlet that Disney was trying to get her team to agree to have Beyoncé do voiceovers for some of the new documentaries coming to Disney Plus. “She’s worked on a number of projects for them, including voicing Nala in the reboot of The Lion King, and now they’re keen to secure her for more projects,” the insider shared. Although it was said that “the negotiations” were “still ongoing,” fans immediately began to celebrate.

Now, as exciting as this all sounds, we exclusively spoke with a rep for Beyonce’ who let us know that these reports of a $100 million dollar deal in the “works” with Disney are unfortunately not true. The rep did not provide any further details.

The hardworking entertainer probably has a bunch of other projects she’s currently working on but we’re just going to have to wait and see what she has in store.
