Former NFL star Teyo Johnson has filed a lawsuit against Everyrealm CEO Janine Yorio, who he accuses of not only leading a toxic work environment but that she also made racist slurs and allegedly suggested he should sleep with his co-workers. Yorio, whose New York-based metaverse firm has been endorsed by the likes of The Weeknd and Paris Hilton, is further alleged to have “pressured” Johnson into “sexually harassing games” where colleagues were encouraged to have sex with one another.

The former athlete found it particularly odd when Yorio was said to have directed a number of racist jokes to her black employees, as the suit recalls a time she supposedly quipped that she would “trade” Johnson if he didn’t do well at his job at the company. On another occasion, back in March, Johnson claimed that Yorio wanted her colleagues to play a sex-related game while on a business trip to the SXSW festival.

When she suggested that he “get laid” by a co-worker, Johnson respectfully told her that he was already seeing someone at the time and that he wouldn’t be engaging in any sexual acts with staff members. But apparently, Yorio was said to have not taken his refusal for an answer as she came to his hotel room later that evening to “test the waters” because she didn’t think he would actually remain loyal to the woman he was dating, the lawsuit continued.

Throughout his time at Everyrealm, he goes on to accuse the CEO of calling him all kinds of names, including “big swinging d**k,” and “f*****g d**k,” while Hilton, who is one of the investors, was allegedly referred to as “a night in Paris.” Johnson took issue with the fact that the people whose accounts he was managing at the company were being ridiculed and talked negatively about, subsequently creating a toxic work environment.

A spokesperson for Everyrealm has heavily denied the allegations made against both the CEO and the company, saying, “As we have stated in our court filings, this employee worked at the company for only three months and was terminated for poor performance, expense account abuse, and falling asleep on the job.”

Furthermore, Johnson is alleged to have “openly and routinely disparaged the mother of his child and demanded that Everyrealm pay a portion of his wages in cash to avoid garnishment for child support payments.”
