Florida Man With State Tattooed On His Face Arrested For Calling 911 For A Ride Home

Matthew Leatham, a 22-year-old Florida man with a solid-filled outline of the state tattooed on his face, was recently arrested for calling 911 for a ride home.

It’s stated the man, who admitted to doing a bit of drinking, didn’t have any money for a taxi, so he called up local authorities at the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office for a little help in getting home. Records show Leatham abusing the emergency line, calling upwards of four times between 3:17 a.m. and 4:22 a.m. last Sunday (Jan. 31) for a ride home.

In audio recordings, Leatham said in the first call, “I’m trying to find a ride home. I (expletive) up, I’m trying to find a (expletive) ride home.” He later said, “I’ve been out here for like an hour. I thought I tried to call it a ride home, or what, like a Lyft or an Uber but I ain’t got none yet.” He claimed he called the wrong number, and then called back for a second time. He added, “I ain’t able to call a Lyft right now. It’s only letting me call this number so I figured (expletive) I’ll call this number and I’ll pick up a Lyft.” After an operator told him the line was for emergencies only and ended the call, Leatham dialed back immediately. He eventually was arrested, with marijuana in his possession. He’s since been released.
