British singer FKA Twigs reportedly found herself in a heated argument with actress Margaret Qualley over her lawsuit against ex-boyfriend Shia LaBeouf. in late 2020, the “Two Weeks” vocalist stunned fans when she publicly came forward and accused her former flame of physical and sexual abuse throughout their relationship. And to make matters worse, her legal docs revealed that she also blamed him for contracting a sexually transmitted disease, which LaBeouf had allegedly been hiding from her with regular use of makeup.

Twigs later talked about the lawsuit in an interview with Elle magazine, with Qualley later sharing the cover on social media and writing “thank you” in the caption, implying that she, too, may have been a victim under the hands of LaBeouf. She later explained why she publicly thanked Twigs while speaking to Harper’s Bazaar, expressing, “It was important to me for her to know that I believe her — and it’s as simple as that.”

It’s believed that Twigs had hoped Qualley would be a witness in her trial in April 2023, but sources say the actress was not willing to cooperate. The pair, according to Page Six, recently crossed paths at a hotel in Los Angeles where they engaged in an intense quarrel. Things turned so heated between them that Quarrel’s fiancé, Jack Antonoff, later came in between them and added his two cents to the argument while defending his significant other, who personally didn’t know Twigs until she came forward with her lawsuit against LaBeouf.

Back in June, Twigs, who real name is Tahliah Debrett Barnett, candidly spoke out as to why she chose to file a lawsuit against the “Transformers” star in an interview with GQ. She deemed the one-year relationship to have been a “living nightmare,” filled with abuse and toxicity that caused her to develop emotional distress during and after the romance was over.

“I just didn’t want anyone else to get hurt, and that trumped any way that I felt about what people may think about me now, positively or negatively,” she told the publication. Twigs doubled down on her decision to take legal action against LaBeouf so that when she has kids of her own in the future, she can proudly tell them how she stood up for herself.

“Sometimes it can cause more trauma, and sometimes it can be dividing. People don’t expect you to stand up for yourself, but I did and I’m proud of it, and what happened to me wasn’t right.”
