Federal Officer Shot & Killed At Courthouse
As protests grow across the country following the murder of George Floyd and numerous other black lives, reports are also coming in of more fatalities.
CBS SF Bay Area reports that in Oakland on Friday night, a gunman opened fired on two Federal Protective Service officers at the city’s federal building. One Officer was killed while the other was critically injured.

According to reports a vehicle pulled up to Ronald V. Dellums Federal Building at 9:45 p.m. on Friday and opened fire at the security officers who worked for the Department of Homeland Security. As of now their identities have not been released to the public.
“A vehicle approached the building,” a statement read. “An individual inside the vehicle began firing shots at contracted security officers for the Federal Protection Service of the Department of Homeland Security. One officer was killed and another injured.”
The shooting was just a half-mile from Oakland Police headquarters where protests took place against the murder of George Floyd in Minnesota.
Police are still investigating the incident and can’t confirm if its connected to the protests.
