One thing about Fat Joe, he’s going to tell it like it is! The veteran rapper is spitting a little game to aspiring rappers who strive to be just as successful as him.
In a recent Instagram Live, Joe took the time to send an important message to artists who have not been able to land a deal yet. He encouraged them to get a consistent job as their “plan A” in life until they are able to secure something.
Also speaking to the ladies who support their men and their dreams, Joe said, “If your man said he raps and he don’t have a deal. There’s a problem with that,” he told his virtual audience. “It’s called plan A, get a job. Plan B, hope you make it. This has never changed.” He continued, “Some guys be like, ‘I gotta get a regular job?’ Bro, you gotta get a job! If you got kids and you got this girl that got an apartment and y’all sexin’ it up every day, you got to pay some bills.”
Fat Joe went on to quote Nas’ line from his “Life’s A Bitch”: “And that dollar and a dream — ‘That buck that bought the bottle could’ve struck the lotto.’ Nah!”

Now, Joe is always giving out a little tough love not only to his fans but also to other celebrities. As we previously reported, Joe weighed in on Ja Morant’s latest suspension over his second gun-flashing incident. He said at the time that Morant needs to get some new friends if he wants to continue playing basketball professionally.
“He’s trying hard to get kicked out of the NBA,” Joey Crack said. “Those guys that’s with you, they not your people, Ja. They don’t care. This is a problem we have with our community becoming famous.”
He went a little harder on the 23-year-old athlete and his dad. “Ja Morant always got his father there,” the Bronx MC said on Instagram Live. “Instead of his father enjoying the scene and getting drunk at the game, he better school his son.” Speaking more on the crowd Morant hangs with, Joe added, “Bro, you did not come this far to f**k your sh*t up,” the Terror Squad leader said. “Your family has to really be your family and talk to you. I hope somebody gets him a copy of this because I don’t make money off Ja Morant. I’m just telling you the truth.” Before ending his rant he said, “There’s two ways this could go: you could keep it real, which is the dumbest sh*t I ever heard in my life, and go broke and get the f**k out the NBA because they’re not going for an NBA player pistol whipping dudes — they not going for that.”
