Tyler Perry is standing his ground and protecting his name! As we previously reported, an actor named Mario Rodriguez, who had a small part in the movie Boo! A Madea Halloween, sued Tyler for 77 million dollars. Mario claims that Tyler used his big-time Hollywood power to make unwanted sexual advances toward him a few years ago. But Tyler is shouting from the rooftops that these lies are just a giant trick to mess up his reputation and steal his money.
According to TMZ, Tyler and his team of lawyers say Mario is working overtime to scare him into paying a massive settlement. They claim Mario tried to ask for millions of dollars in private first. When Tyler refused to give in, Mario went public with the lawsuit to try to embarrass the director.
Tyler’s legal team made it clear that they are not playing games, stating in court papers that Mario’s actions are a “futile attempt to pressure Mr. Perry to settle”.They also promised the public that “Mr. Perry will not cave.”

The drama is getting even more intense because Mario’s legal team wants to ask Tyler very personal questions about his sexuality during a special court meeting called a deposition. Tyler’s lawyers are fighting hard to block those questions, saying they have nothing to do with the case and are just being used as a bullying tactic.
They explained that if Tyler answers, it could turn the whole thing into an unfair media circus. Tyler wants everyone to know he is not embarrassed by anything, but he is absolutely refusing to let anyone bully him or play with his hard-earned legacy.
