Well dang! Looks like Dr. Umar is the latest celebrity to weigh in on Eboni K. Williams’ bus driver comments!
Dr. Umar recently went on live to talk to his fans about the online controversy after seeing her Breakfast Club interview and gave his thoughts on the topic. “She made some great points but dear eboni that’s not what you was talking sweetheart. That’s not what you was talking. You was on bull sh*t and you tried to take it back to the community this morning sister. See we can’t talk out both sides of our mouth sister. I didn’t disagree with much of what you said today but that’s not what you said the other day sister you were talking down to working-class blacks.”

The motivational speaker then went on to say he heard a rumor that Williams was engaged to a white man. “I hope to God you weren’t engaged to a white man because I thought I heard someone say you were engaged to a white man. Eboni, I better not find out your a** was swimming in the milk. If I find out your a** was swimming in the milk I’m going to lose a lot of respect for you.” he said.
As we previously reported, Eboni K. Williams publicly said she wouldn’t date a bus driver and said she would date one “if he owed the bus.” Her comments quickly went viral and she began to receive backlash.
While addressing her comments Williams spoke out saying,“So after the 50,000 plus comments posted on social [media], I only saw a handful of it — Even considered the possibility of a bus owner being a more aspirational position, and recognizing that I am actually speaking and pouring into the ascension of Black men, when I said what I said. But see no, some of y’all were too busy naming and shaming me personally, and Black women in general, as undesirable, gold diggers, and much worse.”

Williams continues, “Now, I suspect that some of y’all are some the same men that were bringing home C’s and D’s on your reports cards, only to then be coddled by parents that said, ‘Well, that’s ok. As long as you’re doing your best.’ Well, listen I love and believe in the excellence of Black men. So, no my dear. C’s and D’s, or any other form of mediocrity is not ok. No, I will not create a soft place for you, or anybody that I love, to fall comfortably into the bigotry of low expectations.”
