Diddy Convicted, Sentenced, And Begging To Serve Time In Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Program For Early Release
According to TMZ, Diddy, born Sean Combs, got busted with some homemade alcohol inside his unit at Fort Dix. This is the low-security prison where Diddy’s lawyers requested he serve his 50-month prison sentence in his federal sex trafficking and racketeering case.
On July 2, Diddy was convicted on two counts of transportation to engage in prostitution. The counts claimed he violated the Mann Act. Furthermore, a federal jury found him not guilty of the more serious racketeering and sex trafficking charges. On October 3, Judge Arun Subramanian sentenced Diddy to 50 months in prison, just over 4 years. With time served and jail credit, Diddy is expected to be released in 3 1/2 years, on May 8, 2028.

Following Diddy’s sentencing, his legal team requested time be served at New Jersey’s Fort Dix prison, where completion of 12-month program removes time from sentence. This would ultimately see a February 2027 release, give or take, upon successful completion. The legal team specifically requested their client be placed under FCI (Federal Correctional Institution) Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Program (RDAP).
On October 6, Diddy’s lawyer, Teny Geragos, filed a letter asking that Judge Arun Subramanian ask the Bureau of Prisons to suggest Fort Dix for the mogul. In the letter, obtained by Fox News Digital, Geragos claimed Diddy would be able to “address drug abuse issues” and “maximize family visitation and rehabilitative efforts” in the prison’s RDAP program.

Diddy Reportedly Busted With Homemade Alcohol In New Jersey Prison At Which He Begged To Complete Drug Program For Early Release
However, all of that strategic planning to enroll Diddy into FCI Fort Dix’s Residential Drug Abuse Program and get time shaved off has seemingly gone out the window with TMZ’s latest report.
Sources have alleged prison officials busted Diddy with homemade alcohol after his transfer to Fort Dix last week. He was previously in custody at Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC Brooklyn). Reportedly, the drink was made from Fanta soda, sugar, and apples. The inmates let the ingredients sit for about two weeks, allowing the concoction to ferment into an alcoholic substance.
Following Diddy’s big bust, prison officials initially planned to move him from his old unit into a new one. However, two sources later updated that prison officials reversed the decision and leaving Diddy in his current unit.
The big bust also arrives just weeks after Diddy made a big deal about his sobriety to Judge Arun Subramanian. During sentencing last month, Diddy told the court that he was sober for the first time in 25 years. He continued to note how substance abuse led him further away from the right path. Diddy wrote the judge and said, “The old me died in jail and a new version of me was reborn. Prison will change you or kill you — I choose to live.”
