It looks like DaBaby is finally washing his hands of the legal drama that’s been trailing him since that wild night at a Los Angeles bowling alley.

According to new court documents obtained by TMZ, the Charlotte rapper has officially settled the civil lawsuit filed against him by Brandon Bill$, the brother of his ex-girlfriend and baby mama, DaniLeigh. After four years of public mudslinging, viral video clips, and endless legal back-and-forth, both sides have chosen to close the book on the courtroom battle before a jury could even get a look at it.

For anyone who needs a quick refresher, the drama kicked off back in February 2022 at Corbin Bowl in L.A.Tensions between DaBaby and DaniLeigh’s family had already been at an all-time high following the couple’s messy, highly publicized breakup. When DaBaby and his entourage crossed paths with Brandon Bill$ (whose real name is Brandon Cruiel), things went left real quick. Footage from the venue’s security cameras showed a chaotic scuffle on the slippery bowling lanes, with DaBaby throwing the first punch before his crew jumped in on the action.

The aftermath of that brawl was messy, to say the least. DaniLeigh took to her Instagram Story immediately after the fight to blast her ex, calling the situation “lame as hell” and criticizing DaBaby for running up on her brother with a pack of five or six guys while he was solo.

Brandon Bill$ eventually hit the rapper with a massive lawsuit, accusing him of assault, battery, and intentional infliction of emotional distress, and later demanded a heavy $4 million payout for permanent physical and psychological injuries.

The case took a wild turn in recent months when deposition testimonies dropped, revealing just how heated things got right before the fists flew. According to Bill$, DaBaby didn’t waste any time with pleasantries when they ran into each other. Bills testified that the “Suge” rapper pulled up on him and issued a direct warning right before the chaos exploded, stating, “I just want to slap you up a bit. I just want to slap you around a little bit.”

DaBaby’s legal team pushed back hard on those claims throughout the entire process, maintaining that Bills was actually the aggressor in the situation and that the viral video didn’t tell the whole story.

While the exact numbers and terms of the settlement are being kept strictly hush-hush, the official notice means neither side will have to step foot in a courtroom for a trial.

Hopefully this brings some peace to everyone involved, especially since there’s a little one caught in the middle of it all.
