On Friday (June 5), the 37-year-old Turning Point USA CEO stood in front of a crowd and gave a 17-minute speech during the company’s annual Women Leadership Summit.

The event took place at the San Antonio Marriott Rivercenter. While standing on the stage, Erika reflected on her late husband, Charlie Kirk, and the 14-year anniversary of Turning Point USA, formerly headed by Charlie.

As Erika shared her speech, a woman in the crowd screamed, “Erika Kirk protects pedophiles! Erika Kirk protects pedophiles!” At first, Erika frowned at the chants and appeared slightly amused at the random shouts.

She then gathered herself and returned to reciting her speech for the crowd. Erika spoke into the microphone, “It’s important to remember that happiness comes and goes — and I pray that you find it.” The audience began cheering and roaring with applause. Some of the crowd members even shouted, “We love you, Erika!”

As Erika continued her speech, she fired off more shots as security removed the shouting protestor from the crowd. She said:

“That’s an important moment because that just shows duty to faithfulness gives life meaning, and we must pray for our enemies and those that do not feel like their life has meaning. And that’s a perfect example of that. A perfect example. You pray for your enemies. You pray for those that persecute you. That’s not the enemy. We know who the real enemy is.”

Erika continued to slam feminism. She told the crowd they should embrace conservative family and marriage values.

“We weren’t created to be alone. Scripture reminds us that men and women were designed to depend on one another, to support one another, to build together. That is God’s design for us. At its core, feminism is a worldview that treats many of the things that make women uniquely women as obstacles. As obstacles to overcome, rather than divine gifts, to embrace.”
