Congratulations are in order to Vanessa Hudgens and her boyfriend-turned-fiancé, Cole Tucker, who has proposed to the actress — and she said yes. According to TMZ, the couple has been keeping their engagement under wraps for quite some time, with sources telling the publication that the MLB player actually popped the question at the end of 2022.

It’s being widely speculated that he may have proposed to the “High School Musical” star during their recent trip to Paris, France in November, though Hudgens and Tucker have yet to actually confirm their engagement. The couple first started dating back in 2020, just a few months after she called it quits with her ex-boyfriend, actor Austin Butler, whom she dated for a whopping eight years.

The aforementioned news outlet also claims that Hudgens and Tucker have been inseparable since they first started dating, with the 26-year-old spending most of his offseason with his leading lady, who has been spotted at countless of his baseball games over the past two years. Socialites, are y’all happy for them?

Hudgens first met Cole during a Zoom call for Joe Jonas’ meditation group three years ago, and while it’s unclear when they started seeing one another, the actress started making frequent public appearances with the athlete a few months later, indicating that they stayed in touch after the meeting.

Just last month when Butler was nominated for an Oscar for his role as the late Elvis Presley in last year’s biopic, Hudgens’ ex gave credit where it’s due as he recalled how a “friend” had told him to take on the part even though he was skeptical on whether he could pull it off.

“’You’ve got to play Elvis,’” he recalled the friend saying, which many fans believe was Butler making reference to Hudgens urging him to accept the role. When he was later asked by the LA Times whether this “friend” was, in fact, Hudgens, he confessed, “That’s right. We’d been together for so long and she had this sort of clairvoyant moment and so I really, I owe her a lot for believing in me.”

In August 2019, Hudgens gushed during an appearance on “Live With Kelly and Ryan” that she had once told Butler how he would be the perfect choice to play Presley. “We were driving along and we were listening to Christmas music, and an Elvis Presley Christmas song came on,” she recalled.

“He had just dyed his hair dark. He’s a natural blond. And I was looking at him and he was singing along, and I was like, ‘Babe, you need to play Elvis. I don’t know how, but I’m serious, you need to play him.'”
