Socialites, let’s send some positive energy to Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s mom, Ata Johnson, who was involved in a serious car accident on Wednesday night. The actor took to his Instagram account on Thursday, sharing a photo of the damaged Cadillac Escalade following the scary collision, with Dwayne mentioning in his caption that it’s a miracle his mother survived.
Details pertaining to the crash remain unknown other than the fact that Ata was said to have been driving her car in Los Angeles when the accident occurred. Dwayne, who shares a very close bond with his mom, penned a heartfelt message on social media, assuring fans that Ata was going to be okay, but the crash could’ve easily turned fatal judging by the vehicle’s state.

“Angels of mercy watched over my mom as she was in a car crash late last night,” the former WWE star wrote. “This woman has survived lung cancer, tough marriage, head-on collision with a drunk driver, and attempted suicide. She’s a survivor, in ways that make angels and miracles real.” Dwayne added that his mother will undergo further evaluation but is expected to make a speedy recovery after escaping any prominent injuries from the crash.
There’s no denying that Dwayne is extremely close with his mom, who he often gushes about on his social media pages. Just last year, for Mother’s Day, the “Black Adam” star posted a sentimental tribute for Ata as he shed light on her previous suicide attempt and how she had overcome countless obstacles in her life.
“I always say if you gotta good mom, then you have a real shot at turning out to be a decent human being. Man I got lucky,’ he wrote before getting into more personal matters about Ata’s past. “My mom’s been thru it all….cancer survivor, evictions, head-on collision by a drunk driver, suicide attempt (still to this day she has zero recollection of me pulling her off the middle of the highway avoiding oncoming traffic), and decades of being married to a ramblin’ pro wrestler.”

While he acknowledged that Ata has had a “tough life,” he added that she was an even “tougher woman.”
“She’s earned this life and I’m a lucky son to provide a little for her these days.”
