Chicago Popeyes Employee Trashes Restaurant After Claiming He Wasn’t Paid For A Month
A video on TikTok has gone viral catching the moment an enraged employee at a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant in Chicago destroyed the store after he was allegedly not paid for a month’s worth of work.

While capturing the unidentified worker as he trashes the restaurant, the text on the viral video read, “This is what happens when you don’t get paid for a month.” She captioned the video underneath and said, “My job so ghetto [x3 crying face emojis + face palm emoji].”
As the viral video begins, Sarah shows the unnamed worker cutting open bags of raw chicken and throwing the pieces all over the ground. In another clip, the worker is seen opening up boxes of french fries and dumping them on the ground as well.

In a third clip, the employee’s full damage is shown. Viewers can see the stockroom completely destroyed with opened boxes and food (raw chicken, buns, cracked eggs, mashed potatoes, etc.) all over the ground, along with flipped over bins and overturned shelves.
Additional photos and videos show damage done to the store’s registers, computer screens, and electric cords cut as well.

In a final clip stitched into the video, the text that overlays the image reads, “At least he got his money.” Underneath the text, viewers can see an empty cash register drawer sitting on the counter. The video then pans to a window where Chicago police officers and their patrol cars are seen parked outside of the destroyed Popeyes restaurant.
It is unclear as to whether or not the unnamed employee was arrested and due to be charged for destroying the restaurant, but the comment section of the viral TikTok video had mixed reactions.
