Is the viral clip of Chance The Rapper letting a hot babe gyrate her glamorous glutes on him at Carnival causing problems in his marriage? While it may look so, a close source is sharing that everything is completely fine with him and his wife, Kirsten Corley-Bennett.
As we previously reported, earlier this month, Chance the Rapper faced a bit of backlash after fans saw his risqué dance with another woman. However, his fans made note that turning up like that is simply part of Carnival culture.
One fan said at the time, “I’m West Indian. And I truly believe that Chance the Rapper was wrong, bc smacking a woman’s ass when ur married to a woman that you KNOW is reserved is wrong.” Another said, “What Chance the Rapper did was disrespectful, period. A bunch of people who don’t even know the origins or carnival talking about “culture”. A third added, “People are too sensitive over this Chance the Rapper stuff. My homegirl went to Trinidad carnival with her husband and when a man danced with her…you know what her husband did? Recorded it and kept it moving. Marriage is not the prison y’all want it to be.”

However, following his trip to paradise, it appeared that his wife wasn’t too happy about the rump-shaking vid. She shared a quote from the late Maya Angelou via Instagram on Wednesday (April 26). It read, “Most people don’t grow up,” Angelou once said. “It’s too damn difficult. What happens is most people get older. That’s the truth of it. They honor their credit cards, they find parking spaces, they marry, they have the nerve to have children, but they don’t grow up. Not really. They get older. But to grow up costs the earth, the earth. It means you take responsibility for the time you take up, for the space you occupy. It’s serious business. And you find out what it costs us to love and to lose, to dare and to fail. And maybe more, to succeed.” While it seemed like he have gotten himself in a little trouble at home, a source told TMZ that the two are all good.”
He and his wife, Kirsten Corley, have been together since 2013 and tied the knot after six years of dating. They share two kids together.

Carnival in the Caribbean is tied to colonialism, religious conversion, and ultimately freedom and celebration. The Caribbean Carnival consists of masquerade, dance, music, and song. It is also unique as a festival as it incorporates the fine arts, street theatre, artistic and musical social organization, spectator participation, political commentary, and fantasy. While Trinidad is the birthplace of Caribbean Carnival, dozens of other islands have adopted the holiday.
