Michael Bloomberg’s presidential campaign team is offering to pay hundreds of people $2,500 to praise him via text message and on their personal social media feeds.
Newsweek said in a report that Bloomberg’s team is looking to hire more than 500 “deputy digital organizers” to work up to 30 hours per week to promote his viewpoints to their friends and family. However, the outreach is only to residents in California but could reach nationwide very soon due to the presidential primary election being held on March 3.

The app used to spread the news about Bloomberg’s campaign is called Outvote. Its purpose is to find friends who are democratic voters and “coordinate SMS outreach with the campaign for event invites… social sharing, fundraising, and getting out the vote,”
