Ari Ain’t Playing: Ariana Grande Tells Team Trump To Never Touch Her Music Again: “Your Truth Is Not Real”

Ariana Grande said what she said, and she meant every word of it. The pop superstar went straight to the comment section this week after Team Trump’s official TikTok dropped a video using her 2024 hit “We Can’t Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)” to push a message about trans athletes in women’s sports. Clearly, Miss Ari wasn’t having it, and she let them know… in real time.

The clip, posted Thursday, showed Trump stiff-walking  to a podium while text lifted straight from Grande’s own lyrics flashed across the screen . The message argued that men shouldn’t compete in women’s sports. The caption tried to play it cute too, tagging Grande directly like that wasn’t going to get her attention. It did.

Grande hit the comments and wrote, “Never use my music again. Also, your truth is false.” Short and direct. Of course, this wasn’t Ari’s first rodeo with Trump and his folks.

Back in June, the White House used her 2024 track “Bye” in a TikTok showing ICE agents arresting and cuffing folks up. That time, Grande didn’t hold back at all, she called the whole thing “barbaric, inhumane, heinous nonsense” and didn’t mince words about how she felt toward ICE.

Her team got that one pulled down. This time, though, the song was still riding on Trump’s post even after she spoke up, with her label reportedly working to get it removed.

What’s wild is Grande isn’t out here alone. She’s just the latest name on a growing list of artists who’ve had to publicly check the Trump camp for jacking their catalog without permission. Taylor Swift and Bad Bunny recently had tracks pulled from Trump posts, and Noah Kahan went off after the White House used his song “American Cars,” saying he’d never co-sign his music being tied to that administration.

The list runs deep too. Kesha spoke out after “Blow” got used in a military video, Sabrina Carpenter called an ICE video set to her song “evil and disgusting,” and Olivia Rodrigo accused the administration of using her music to push what she called racist, hateful messaging. Even legends like The Rolling Stones, Adele, Neil Young, ABBA, and Céline Dion have all had to draw that same line.

The internet, of course, showed up in Ari’s corner immediately. Fans flooded the comments telling Team Trump to stop hiding her responses, with some going as far as saying she’d be disgusted by the whole situation. Even some folks who admitted to voting for Trump multiple times said the move felt childish and told the administration to leave her alone.

At the end of the day, this is bigger than one song or one TikTok post. Hopefully, this time Team Trump got the message loud and clear, whether they wanted to hear it or not.
