NLE Choppa and his mother Angela Potts aren’t letting up on his son’s mother, Marissa Da’Nae Rogers, as they both drop more receipts to combat her “deadbeat dad” claims against the Memphis rapper.
NLE Choppa And Marissa Da’Nae’s Rocky Co-Parenting Relationship
As we previously shared, Marissa’s been calling Choppa, born Bryson LaShun Potts, a deadbeat since she told us she was pregnant back in April 2023.
At the time, she accused the rapper of not being present during her pregnancy and “constantly trying to holla at [other] folks.” On August 16, 2023, Marissa gave birth to ChoZen Wone Da’Shun Potts. For the past three years, Chozen’s parents have been beefing online and in court.
In September 2025, Marissa told her followers that Choppa was taking her to court over their then-1-year-old son. By February 2026, NLE Choppa and his mother, Angela Potts (aka Momma Choppa) went on Instagram Live to slam his two baby mamas, Marissa Da’Nae and Mariah Jones. The two were calling the rapper a “deadbeat dad” and “gay.” He then dropped a diss track on them both.
NLE Choppa And Son’s Mother Marissa Da’Nae Continue Beefing Online Over Deadbeat Dad Claims
Choppa and Marissa continued to beef through Chozen’s 3rd birthday, on August 16, 2026. Despite Choppa wishing his son a happy birthday with several photos on his Instagram feed with a lengthy caption, Marissa said it wasn’t enough. She posted on her Instagram Story, “It all be for the internet. Nothing else.” She continued to claim Choppa hasn’t seen their son since August 16, 2025, last year’s birthday.
The two engaged in a back-and-forth online. Ultimately, Choppa dropped receipts, including alleged text messages and more. However, the drama spilled over days later as Choppa and his mother again dragged Marissa, attempting to clear Choppa’s name in the public.
Momma Choppa said her son doesn’t engage online and she felt the need to defend him. The two dropped more alleged texts showing Choppa attempting to spend time with his son. He also dropped bank statements alleging out of the $25,000 sent for their son’s 1st birthday a few years ago, most of it went to Marissa’s upkeep and bills.
