Angel Carrasco, the 31-year-old Bronx man who was accused of pushing his ex-girlfriend and her baby from a 15th floor balcony, was seen smiling from ear-to-ear during his perp walk.
As we previously shared, Carrasco was arrested on Wednesday (October 7) at around 10:30 p.m. New York Police Department officials took him into custody after receiving information about his whereabouts. Police said his close friend went to the 49th Precinct and told detectives were he was hiding.
Carrasco faces charges of murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, and assault. He is accused of shoving his ex-girlfriend, 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez, and her 8-month-old daughter from a 15th floor balcony at the Allerville Arms building in Allerton on Tuesday (October 6).

Police received a call just before 3:40 a.m. and found Ramirez and her daughter on the ground with injuries consistent with a fall. The mother and infant were rushed to Jacobi Hospital, where Ramirez was pronounced dead. The baby survived the fall and was reported in stable condition as of Thursday (October 8).
Initially, police believed the fall to be an accident. However, upon further investigation, they determined, “Both individuals had been pushed from a balcony.” Before police arrival, neighbors also determined something was wrong. they reported hearing screams and desperate please coming from inside Ramirez’s apartment. One woman claimed she heard the yelling, then a loud crash before seeing the baby on the ground.
Police said there was a documented history of domestic violence involving the couple. In January, Carrasco was shared with slapping Ramirez during a dispute involving his ex-girlfriend. Days later, he was charged with burglary after allegedly breaking into Ramirez’s apartment while looking for her.
