Amazon removed a face mask depicting George Floyd’s fatal moments after it was being sold on their marketplace.

According to Minnesota CBS Local, the face masks were sold by Adsfghrehr for a price of $12.99 with $5.99 shipping. Since the backlash from customers due to the insensitive nature of the product, the seller changed the mask’s design to the phrase “I Can’t Breathe.” Many protestors have used the phrase to bring awareness about police brutality and the victims who have endured it.

Despite the mask’s removal, there are plenty of Amazon sellers who are profiting off of Floyd’s death. Some of the items include T-shirts, sweaters, posters with Floyd’s final words, buttons, and flags.
George Floyd was killed on May 25 in Minneapolis by former MPD officer Derek Chauvin after his team responded to a 911 call about a counterfeit $20 bill. All four men have been fired and charged with murder. Chauvin was charged with second-degree murder and his accomplices, Tou Thao, Thomas Lane, and J Alexander Kueng were charged with aiding and abetting.
Floyd’s funeral was held in a private ceremony amongst friends, family, and special guests in Houston, Texas.
