Amanda Bynes Sent To Mental Health Facility After Roaming Streets In The Nude
As we previously reported, the actress, who just turned 37 years old last Monday (April 3), was spotted walking in the nude through the streets of downtown Los Angeles in the early hours of Sunday March 19.
According to ‘TMZ,’ the actress was in the middle of the street when a stranger screeched their tires and came to a halt. The publication claims Bynes told them that she had suffered a psychotic episode, and had taken it upon herself to call local law enforcement officials for help.

When Bynes arrived to a nearby police station, officials had her undergo a mental evaluation test, which proved that the ‘Hairspray‘ star had been unwell and needed to be placed on a 5150 hold.
The Nickelodeon alum did not show any signs of injury, but she was admitted to a hospital and remained there until the end of the following week, which is unusual seeing that 5150 holds usually only last 72 hours.

Meanwhile, concern on social media heightened, especially as Bynes is no longer in a conservatorship. Her parents, Lynn Organ and Rick Bynes, previously acted as her conservators in a court-ordered arrangement.
However, after being implemented in 2013 — following a string of public outbursts and run-ins with the law — the conservatorship was terminated in 2022, after nine years and at the request of Bynes and her legal team.

A day after Bynes made headlines for her naked spotting, it was reported that her parents had no plans of putting their daughter back into a conservatorship.
It was reported that Bynes’ parents were in fact “deeply concerned” about their daughter’s breakdown, but neither of them felt like placing her back into the strict agreement was something that needed to be done right away.
They credited the fact that their daughter, despite her condition, was fully aware that she was experiencing a health concern and took the initiative to get herself some help as soon as she could.
Amanda Bynes Reportedly Released From Mental Health Facility 3 Weeks After Roaming Streets In The Nude
On Tuesday (April 11), it was then reported that after nearly a month of receiving treatment at a mental health facility, Bynes has reportedly been released.
‘TMZ‘ updates that sources close to Bynes told them that she was released from a facility in Southern California on Monday (April 10), after both Amanda and the medical staff agreed that she was healthy enough to get back to her day-to-day life.
Additionally, the publication adds that Bynes is reportedly expected to begin outpatient treatment to ensure that she remains healthy and on a straight path. She is reportedly expected to work with doctors and specialists to continue getting her the help she needs to move forward.
The site also says that Amanda will keep her independence, reportedly returning to her home to live there as she was before her recent hospitalization. They add that she currently is not expected to be placed back on any conservatorships.
