Prince Philip Reportedly Left About $42 Million In His Will, Heirs Include His Grandchildren & Staff

Prince Philip is said to have left about $42 million behind in his will for his heirs, which includes his grandchildren (including Prince Harry) and his staff as well.

On Thursday (May 27), it was reported that the Duke of Edinburgh left behind an estimated $42 million (£30 million) when he passed last month at the age of 99. It’s noted that Queen Elizabeth II is expected to be the main beneficiary, but he also made sure to take care of the three men who looked after him (his private secretary Brigadier Archie Miller Bakewell, his page William Henderson and valet Stephen Niedojadlo) — this is said to be uncommon among the royals.

In addition to his three aides, the Prince’s grandchildren are expected to receive a windfall from his will, and Prince Harry is included despite his public criticism and exit from the Royal Family. An insider says, “Philip was not the sort of character to punish a grandson for misbehaving. He was a very fair, even-handed and lovely man. Never held a grudge.” Elsewhere, the Prince’s four children (Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Edward and Prince Andrew) have also been told to “take what they want” from his book collection.
