As Hardwick promotes his new character of Muhammad Ali’s father, in the new series, ‘The Greatest,’ he sat with the Associated Press.

During the interview, AP reporter Gary G Hamilton asked Omari Hardwick if he knew more about a claim made by executive producer, 50 Cent, against show creator, Courtney Kemp. Hamilton said:

“50 made a comment that Courtney was trying to write ‘Ghost’ off, like, in earlier episodes. Were you aware at that time?”

Hardwick, with his head down, took a moment before replying. Finally, he looked up and said, “There was definitely a shift.” He took another moment and continued, “Often times, the most talented people are treated not necessarily the greatest.” He paused once more to then add:

“I think there’s a lot of small a**es in big seats in life trying to relegate the big a**es to small seats in life. So, I started to know the lay of the land as it pertains to New York having me, and knowing what that smells like.”

Hardwick continued to recall fans in the streets spotting him and shouting, “What up, O?” What up Ghost?.” Quoting his wife, Jennifer ”Jae Hardwick” Pfautch, the actor said, “Jae always says 9 dudes will kill for Omari, one might have an issue.” Hardwick again paused and stared at Hamilton. Hardwick added, “Gary, sometimes one might have an issue.” Hamilton acknowledged the comment and smiled, “I picked it up.”

Then, Hardwick insisted, “And I never said anything. Did I?” Hamilton replied, “No, you didn’t” Hardwick went on to say:

“That’s why I always rock with 50 [Cent]. I always pray for Courtney. Always. Never stopped praying for her. Shouted her out the other day. Gifted. I can still acknowledge God giving her a gift. All of it served me.”

While reacting to the clip of Hardwick addressing claims he said about Kemp, the rapper reposted the clip. In the caption, he wrote, “Small a** in a BIG seat, 😆 she forgot I hired her 🤷‍♂️ @omarihardwickofficial is a real 🥷🏾 we hit the bullseye with POWER.”
