Yella Beezy was arrested early Sunday morning in Dallas after police officers claim he was violating multiple traffic rules and found a weapon in his vehicle.

The rapper’s manager Adrian Low Brown said Yella Beezy was driving through his old neighborhood in Dallas to buy a Valentine’s Day gift for his girlfriend but was stopped by police officers. They claimed Beezy was running stop signs and searched his vehicle for drugs and other items after stating his car smelled like marijuana. During the search, officers found a weapon and claimed it was unregistered.
Brown and the rapper’s team says all weapons are registered and claim the cops set him up to be arrested.

A video of the arrest also surfaced online which shows police officers searching through the rapper’s bulletproof van. No further information on the arrest has been revealed.
