Would You Be Here For This? NeNe Leakes Reveals That She Would ‘Be Happy’ To Return to RHOA & Address ‘Unfinished Business’ — But Needs To Speak With Andy Cohen First
Nene Leakes appeared on Thursday’s episode of “The Real” to talk about the passing of her husband Gregg Leakes and life after “Real Housewives of Atlanta.”
While speaking with hosts Loni Love and Beverly Hills star Garcelle Beauvais, Nene was asked if she would ever return to the show. Nene revealed that she would be happy to do so but certain things need to be done before that even happens.
“Yeah, sure. I’ll return to the show,” Leakes told the ladies. “I’m okay with returning to the show as long as we can work through a few things. I’d be happy to return to the show.” Leakes said she also has some things to hash out with executive producer Andy Cohen: “I think Andy and I were really close for a really, really long time and I love Benny Boo [Benjamin] and I helped pay for his baby shower and all those things,” the star said. “I think that Andy and I need to have a sit-down and talk and we’re off to the races!”
Leakes, who is one of the original cast members from RHOA’s 2008 premiere, first announced her leave from the show back in September 2020. She said at the time, “There has been a lot of emotion flying on both sides,” she said in the video, adding that it “wasn’t an easy decision.”
Emotions have still be high for Nene following the recent passing of her husband Gregg who died after his battle with cancer. Despite this, Nene has tried her best to stay positive.
