The woman, only identified as Connie, was trying to use the air mattress as a raft to get to another boat and was spotted by two members of the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway on Lake Texoma. Lena Kent, general director of public affairs for BNSF Railway said the two members radioed a dispatcher to sent emergency services to rescue the woman.
“The crew brought the train to stop and radioed the dispatcher to ask for emergency services to be dispatched. They said that they knew the person had to be injured based on the location of where she was found,” she said in an email to NBC News.

Officials said the woman showed obvious signs of hypothermia since she couldn’t walk and her hands were covered in cuts. However, the rescue crew was able to take her to the second engine so her body could warm up.
Connie was later transported to a local hospital in Bryan County and is expected to make a full recovery.
