Infamous dating scammer Simon Leviev has been banned from Tinder amid the release of Netflix’s documentary “Tinder Swindler.”

The dating app said in a statement that Leviev is permanently banned due to using multiple identities to scam women into giving him millions of dollars while dating them. “We have conducted internal investigations and can confirm Simon Leviev is no longer active on Tinder under any of his known aliases,” it reads.
As previously reported, Simon Leviev, real name: Shimon Hayut, conned women into giving him cash and credit cards by claiming his life was in danger and promised to pay them back. He also claimed he was the son of Israeli billionaire Lev Leviev.

According to Variety, Hayut previously had an Instagram account with over 200,000 followers but the profile appeared to be “no longer available.” Back in 2019, Hayut was arrested and five months of a 15-month sentence at an Israeli prison for flying with a fake passport,
