On Friday, Waka Flocka took to social media to wish his daughter Charlie Rivera a happy birthday. While sharing a throwback picture of them at a restaurant he wrote in the caption, “My baby officially 17 today 😢 Charlie already like I’m moving out 😂 condo in Buckhead, car, businesses, and her new life lol y’all know me I’m like pump ya breaks Lil lady you ain’t 25 yet 😂 Happy birthday my angel face daughter!!!”
Her mother Tammy Rivera also shared a sweet post to her baby girl saying, “Y’all help me wish the love of my life, my baby @tammiesangel a Happy 17th birthday! Can’t believe I have a 17-year-old child.”
Tammy and Waka who confirmed earlier this year that they’ve ended their relationship after eight years still came together for Charlie’s birthday celebration. Tammy shared a video to her IG Story showing the moment her and Waka prank Charlie with a smart car. Although Charlie’s face said it all, she still kept a big smile and showed that she was very appreciative. However, shortly after, she soon learned that it was just a joke and that her real surprise would be given to her…
Waka has been a father figure to his stepdaughter Charlie since he’s started dating Tammy. He previously talked about their relationship and how he sees her like his own child.
Last year, Charlie seemingly came out as gay on their reality show “Tammy & Waka.” He didn’t seem surprised nor bothered. Waka explained his reaction while appearing on Fox Soul, which got praise from his fans:
“I don’t think. I don’t have expectations,” Waka said. “The stuff you expecting is never gonna be a hundred percent. I don’t believe in a hundred percent. I believe in experience. So, I can’t say I don’t like something or love something if I never experienced it. I approach it like a strong-minded male and it’ll run her away. So I followed my wife’s footsteps like, ‘Baby just chill, just listen to her.’ Charlie probably thought I was gonna act like King Kong, I don’t know but it’s cool.”
Waka emphasized that he raised Charlie to be comfortable being herself.
“I made sure Charlie’s her,” he said. “So at the end of the day, her happiness is everything. Before I even let her stand on something or ‘come out’ — like she ain’t have to come out because she was never hiding.”
