Not good news for Lil Durk. The Chicago rapper, is in even more serious heat as he faces a potential life sentence in a high-stakes murder-for-hire case. According to updated reports, the 32-year-old, born Durk Devontay Banks, has recently been hit with three new charges that could land him behind bars for good.
The feds have slapped him with one count of conspiracy, another for using interstate facilities to commit murder-for-hire that resulted in death, and a third for wielding and discharging firearms, including a machine gun, during a violent crime. This latest indictment not only adds these charges but also positions Durk as the main defendant in a case that already involved five other individuals.
These charges trace back to an alleged plot aimed at Georgia rapper Quando Rondo—real name Tyquian Terrel Bowman—over his suspected role in the 2020 shooting death of Chicago rapper King Von. Prosecutors claim that Lil Durk put a bounty on Bowman, offering cash and music opportunities in exchange to take Rondo out.

After his arrest in Miami on October 24, following the unsealing of the initial indictment, it was revealed that Durk had been booking international flights, suggesting he had plans to flee. The other five co-defendants are already in federal custody in Illinois, and all six are expected to face a judge in Los Angeles soon.
With the stakes this high, if convicted, they could all be looking at life sentences.
