UPDATE: Police Say Body Of Missing Seoul Mayor Has Been Found In Forested Hills
As we previously reported, authorities launched a search Thursday evening for the mayor of South Korea’s capital, Seoul — Park Won-soon — who vanished amid sexual harassment allegations. At the time, little details were shared. However, his daughter told police that he left a message ”sounding like a will” before he vanished.

Police also noted that he canceled several meetings that were set in place for today including one with a presidential official. Following a massive search that went on for more than seven hours, police say the body of the missing mayor has been found.
The news site reports that Park Won-soon’s body was located in forested hills in northern Seoul early Friday morning (GMT).
As CNN notes, Park was elected mayor of Seoul in 2011 after his predecessor stepped down following a failed referendum bid on free school meals. We will continue to keep you updated on this story when more details have been shared.
