Memphis Police have listed two persons of interest who are reportedly linked to the murder of Young Dolph.

On Sunday, two more persons of interest were announced by the Memphis Police Department who said they were unable to locate the men. The men were identified as Devin Burns and Joshua Burns, both aged 26, and police asked for the public’s help in locating them.
“On November 17, 2021, officers responded to a shooting call at Makeda’s Homemade Cookies located at 2370 Airways. Officers located victim Adolf “Young Dolph” Thornton lying on the floor with multiple gunshot wounds. Thornton did not survive his injuries. Devin Burns has been developed as a Person if Interest in this Homicide. Burns has unrelated active Aggravated Assault and Theft of Property $10,000-$60,0000 warrants for his arrest.”

It was previously reported that murder suspect Shundale Barnett was reported missing after he was released from prison after he was expected to be extradited from Indiana to Memphis for processing.
“We held them (Barnett), contacted Shelby County, and held him on their warrant and we were contacted on Jan. 21 and they told us that they were no longer wanting to come up and pick up Mr. Barnett and that we were to release him at that time,” said Clay County Sheriff Paul Harden.
