Tommy Hilfiger recently gave his thoughts on women who wear baggy jeans. According to @pagesix, the fashion designer hates to see a woman wearing that type of attire because he prefers something more “form-fitting.”
While being spotted at Old Bags luncheon at the Breakers in Palm Beach, Fla., to support his wife Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger being honored for her fashion, he took the time to speak on women wearing baggy jeans. “I think they look terrible on women,” the designer told the news outlet, “I want to see something form-fitting on a women’s frame. It should be more fit and feminine or little bit tighter in the hips.”
During the interview he also spoke about the fashion in Florida and explained how he likes that it’s so colorful. “In New York we like to wear black,” he said, “My clothes actually sell better in Florida, California, Texas places like that. A lot of tourists are buying my clothes in New York and they take them back from wherever they come in from.”
In 1985, Hilfiger launched his eponymous brand, Tommy Hilfiger Corporation, which quickly gained popularity for its preppy, all-American aesthetic. The brand’s red, white, and blue logo became synonymous with quality and style, and Hilfiger’s designs were embraced by a wide range of consumers.
Throughout the years, Tommy Hilfiger has continued to evolve and expand his brand, offering a wide range of clothing and accessories for men, women, and children. His collections are known for their timeless appeal, blending classic designs with modern twists to create a unique and fresh look.
In addition to his clothing line, Hilfiger has also ventured into other areas of the fashion industry, including fragrances, eyewear, and home furnishings. His brand has become a global powerhouse, with stores in over 100 countries and a strong presence in the fashion world.
Tommy Hilfiger’s success can be attributed to his keen eye for design, his ability to stay ahead of trends, and his commitment to creating high-quality, stylish products. His brand has become a symbol of American fashion, representing the best of classic, preppy style with a modern twist.
