NFL baller Tom Brady is catching major backlash on social media after sharing poolside pictures with his teenage son sitting in his lap. While some on social media call the photos sweet and affectionate, others feel Brady’s actions were a little inappropriate.
Tom Brady Catches Backlash After Posting Poolside Pictures With His Teenage Son In His Lap
While taking to his Instagram Story on Friday (December 30), Brady, 45, uploaded a couple photos of he and his 13-year-old son Benjamin chilling poolside after the Christmas holiday.
As the two enjoyed some downtime together, Brady shared the first photo of his son’s legs in-between his legs on a lawn chair. Writing on the photo he said, “Love this boy [red heart emojji].” In a second photo, Brady showed himself giving his son a smooch on the nape of his neck.
Immediately, the photos began circulating on Twitter and the users over there were split with their feelings.
Again, while some simply saw a father and son bonding with each other, others tried to call out Brady for being inappropriate, by having his teenaged son sit in his lap in his swimming trunks. Those critics were then combative against those who called them out for over-sexualizing the posts.
One fan, who’s tweet went viral and received hundreds of retweets and responses, said, “Bruh no f**kin way. What is this sh*t?????”
Responding, on user said, “It’s his son, don’t make it more than it is, [shaking my head].” The original poster said, “He’s 15 sitting on his dad’s lap with only a bathing suit.”
Another user then called out the original poster above for over-sexualizing things. They said, “Overly sexualizing the relationship between a child and his father like this is beyond weird.”

One user said, “I don’t think Tom Brady is a pervert, I think he just sucks at social media.”
More fans came to Brady’s defense. Another said, “Tom Brady is weird but at least he’s a loving father. I don’t think he inappropriately touches his kid.”
Another said, “A father showing his child{ren] affection at any age always brings out the creeps on here. Talking about Tom Brady is ‘grooming’ his son… I wish y’all experienced love in your lives.”
Another user echoed those sentiments and said: “Some of y’all have never been shown love by a parent and it shows. I hate Tom Brady’s cheating MAGA a**, but damn can’t a father love his son and y’all not make it weird??? Please seek family counseling immediately.”
