Tamera Mowry-Housley is celebrating her 13-year marriage with her “amazing” husband Adam Housley and while speaking on her “challenging, not perfect” union she says, “I have faith that we’ve got this.

While speaking with PEOPLE, Tamera Mowry, 45, reveals the secret behind her lasting marriage to husband Adam Housley, 52. The two have been together for nearly two decades, married for more than half that time and Mowry-Housley says that while some things have gotten easier, other challenges have risen, like with their two children, son Aden, 11, and daughter Ariah, 8. On May 15, the couple celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary after tying the knot in 2011 in Napa, California.
Taking to Instagram, the ‘Sister Sister‘ actress wrote, “Happy 13th Anniversary baby! @adamhousley To know you is to love you and I’m so grateful I said Yes! With God at the center of our marriage, we’ve been able to make it this far with the ups and downs. My love for you is deeper than when we said, “I do.” Which I didn’t know was even possible. Is our marriage perfect? Absolutely not. But what does ring true is that I have married the love of my life 💍 You are more than just a husband and father. You are my best friend! I couldn’t imagine having it any other way. You’re still the ONE! Man, I gotta good one! Love you to infinity and beyond! ♾️”
Days later, on May 21, Tamera Mowry-Housley spoke with PEOPLE at the 49th Annual Gracie Awards in Beverly Hills. She said, “What’s gotten easier is that we truly know each other, so we can communicate with our eyes closed. I can sense when something’s off, even though he may not be saying it. So we communicate verbally, but also non-verbally, if that makes sense.”
Mowry-Housley reveals that one of the “harder” things to deal with in her marriage is the fact that her children “are getting older” and things were “easier” when they were little “because you are parenting the mind.” She added, “You have to make sure, especially in this day and age, that their mental health is good because they’re faced with so many things that we weren’t faced with.”
Tamera Mowry-Housley added that as long as she has her husband Adam Housley by her side, she’s worry-free, explaining, “I believe that I have an amazing partner in my husband, and also, I have a wonderful village, so I have faith that we’ve got this.”
