As we previously shared, on Friday (October 16), Trump revealed he had dinner with Smith. When asked about the dinner, Donald Trump also stated that the get together was “great.”
Smith was invited by Bill Maher, and they were joined by Kid Rock. Smith later opened up about the dinner on Fox News and also on his SiriusXM show, ‘Straight Shooter.’

During the dinner, Smith said he pressed Trump about the Black community. He said, “My mission is always to look out for my community as best as I can.” Smith said they talked about federal jobs being minimized and DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) being eliminated.
Smith said he also further pressed Trump, specifically, about the unemployment rate among Black women and funding for Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). He said they also talked about global politics, like the war in Iran, plus the national debt. The latter of which Smith alleges Trump promised would be handled as “trillions [of dollars] are coming into America.”
