The internet is still buzzing about Donald Trump’s controversial “Black Jobs” comment made during a debate with Joe Biden last month. Instead of being offended, many individuals are demonstrating what “Black Jobs” truly means.
Simone Biles joined in on the conversation, seemingly taking a jab at the former President. After winning the gold medal in the women’s gymnastics all-around final at the 2024 Paris Olympics, Biles tweeted, “I love my black job.”
Ricky Davila shared a photo of Biles and wrote, “Simone Biles being the GOAT, winning gold medals and dominating gymnastics is her black job,” to which Biles responded by sharing the post.
Trump has reiterated his comment at various rallies since then, and it gained traction again earlier this week during his appearance before the National Association of Black Journalists. He stated, “I will tell you that coming from the border, there are millions and millions of people that happen to be taking Black jobs.” He then attempted to define what a Black Job is, saying, “A Black job is anybody that has a job. That’s what it is.”
So far at the Paris Games, Biles has won two gold medals and has three more events scheduled. Thanks to her “Black Job,” Simone Biles has made history with her second all-around Olympic gymnastics title, just eight years after her first.
This remarkable comeback comes after Biles was forced to withdraw from the 2020 Tokyo Games to focus on her mental health. It’s safe to say she’s officially back and stronger than ever.
