Simone Biles is opening up about a terrifying experience at her Chicago home. The 29-year-old Olympic gymnast revealed on TikTok this past Monday that a few months ago, three masked men broke into her residence and stole her Porsche GTS.
While Biles confirmed that the vehicle was eventually recovered, the incident was enough to prompt her to head out and purchase a new car. She kept the details of the break-in brief, noting it was a “story for another time,” but emphasized that her life is often filled with chaotic events.
“The things that happen to me are absolutely insanity,” Biles said while getting ready for her shopping trip. “It’d be really easy for producers to just film regularly.”
She also noted that the unsettling experience was a primary reason why she and her husband, Indianapolis Colts safety Jonathan Owens, decided to get a Doberman guard dog.
This isn’t the first time the couple has had a brush with crime this year. Back in February, while the pair was in Milan for the 2026 Winter Olympics, Owens shared on X that someone attempted to snatch a shopping bag right out of his hands. Fortunately, he had the bag tied around his wrist, which caused the would-be thief to flee immediately.
Despite the stress of these encounters, Biles seems to be moving forward, captioning her recent video, “yes we recovered the car, onto the next.”
